PHANTOGRAM - Eyelid Movies (2009)

phantogram is a duo from NY i discovered thanks to's recs for similar artists to sleigh bells. it's hardly similar to them but it's pretty cool. influences from a lot of shit are on this record, trip-hop, electro, indie rock and pop being the main ones. it sounds like a mix of a lot of things but at the same time the band has a sound of its own. running from the cops reminds me of chris vrenna's solo project, tweaker. bloody palms is my favorite track on this album, it has a cool synth-bassline with a kickass beat+guitar riff combo. when i'm small sounds like lily allen meets bat for lashes. this album is good and def going on my best of 2009 list. now get it you lovers of fucking music.
