Rob Dougan - Furious Angels (2003)

For the uninitiated, Rob Dougan was fucking popular back in 1999, around the same time the Matrix film was released. This is because Rob is responsible for creating that 'Clubbed to Death (Kurayamino Variation)' track (and no, kurayamino doesn't mean anything fancy, just abridged or shortened). So once he became famous, he provided tracks for each of the Matrix films and soon after, almost all his songs began to appear in various European car commercials, ads for banks and other films. It's been almost a decade and nothing new has been released (aside for new music composed for this 2009 short film directed by Laurence Dunmore.)

It's a good thing that even now, in 2011, this music still manages to not sound dated. And Rob, who not only composes but also sings to his own tracks, shows us that with such limited releases, he really cares about what he releases and I highly doubt that he's strapped for much cash, especially after the Matrix. Enjoy some cinematic-like electronic-type classically-nurtured trip-hop.
