The Muggabears - Night Choreography EP (2007)
When I first came across The Muggabears, I thought: "What a shitty name for a band. I hope it isn't Twee." Luckily for me it wasn't. The band recently changed their name to Grooms and released a hell of an album last year called Rejoicer.
So what do they sound like? Imagine a more dissonant version of Pavement or Built to Spill. They wear these 90's indie rock influences on their sleeves, but they've updated the sounds to create their own unique brand of dark, loud, and intense indie rock.
RIYL : Pavement, Carsick Cars, Sonic Youth
Mountains are very important to me.
