the vaselines are an indie pop band from scotland. they got kinda famous in the early 90's when kurt cobain said they were his favourite songwriters ever and nirvana covered a couple of their songs, so then sub pop released this compilation of their 2 eps and one full length. i really like them. kinda similar to beat happening i think.
