God Is An Astronaut - All is Violent, All is Bright (2005)

This is the band's second album, released in 2005, and probably their most popular. This is just straight up instrumental post-rock, with long, sweeping, tranquil passages crescendoing into huge climaxes. Generally good stuff.

Their newest album is also on the blog, it was posted a while back.

Great band. If you like this I strongly suggest you seek out a band called Her Name Is Calla. They've released their debut album. 'The Heritage', a short while ago and it's really, really, fucking special. Believe me, make the effort. Can't stop playing it, ordered the vinyl, going to see 'em in Leeds, stunning artwork, but it's the music, ...god!
They're right up there with Snowman.

my favorite of theirs…and yeah jc I think you'll find it ages pretty well (or as well as post-rock can age)
