Archie Shepp - Black Gipsy (1970)

This album is a monument of free jazz, one of many fantastic records created by American jazz expats in Paris in the early 70s. What really sets Black Gipsy apart from the rest is the inclusion of Chicago Beauchamp's conscious poetry, interspersed throughout the title track's incessant, urgent groove.

I've included the album art from the 2004 re-issue since I prefer it to the original.

Is it just me, or does that cover have a striking resemblance to Psychic Chasms? Any body else see it?
