Double Dagger - More (2009)

(Domo Arigato DeeKay)
After the cleverly named Ragged Rubble, Double Dagger tightened up their sound for the new album, (Balti-)More. The sprawling, bass guitar-driven melodies belie Nolen Strals' manic vocals. The album is at times wistful and agressive, beautiful and unlistenable. No wondfer this band is being heiled as the new bell of Thrill Jockey's twisted ball. The artwork does exist, by the way, but I've only found a 100x100 copy, and that was on their myspace. I'll stick it in when a decent res version crops up.

Kind of Like: Mclusky in a good mood, Marnie Stern with Black Francis on vocals.
