Art Ensemble of Chicago are an avant-garde jazz ensemble out of, you got it, Chicago. This whole album is a great sonic trip, but nothing beats the killer first track, a powerhouse experiment in improvisation featuring Fontella Bass' larger-than-life vocals. This is music to drive fast to, to chase to, to let loose to.
