Mumbles - Transformations/Illuminations (2007)

Mumbles is probably best known as the production maestro behind Aceyalone's 1998 hip-hop classic A Book of Human Language. he spent the next few years meditating and shit in India at an ashram before moving to Santa Fe, of all places, and completing this album.

guest musicians show up on over half the tracks, from Cut Chemist to a wide range of instrumentalists, singers, and emcees. Acey appears on 2 tracks, which is too bad. if you'd told me in 2001 that there'd be a time he'd be the weakest part of an album, i'd have probably punched you in the face. but here we are. anyways, this one is still a keeper, and even the couple poppy tracks are entertaining.

can i burn one while i'm waitin?
