Bohren und Der Club of Gore - Black Earth (2002)

For those who don't know them, Bohren und Der Club of Gore are a doomjazz group out of Germany, originally formed from members of various hardcore bands. Some albums are heavier on the doom and others moreso on the jazz elements, but all are pretty good.

The fourth album produced by the band, and second recorded after the band's guitar player quit and was replaced by a saxophone player, Black Earth is definitely more jazzy than some of their previous albums, and I personally don't mind that at all. Great music for chilling out at night, or really any other time, too.

Fantastic. I didn't know that there was more than one "doomjazz" group, haha.

  3. I have listened to this album quite a few times after downloading. Thoroughly enjoying it.

  4. Link is fixed now, for a little while there I had replaced it with a random link that turned out not to be Bohren.
