Mississippi Records specializes in re-releases and compilations of extremely rare and out-of-print American recordings, from random punk to lost Little Richard 7"s. this collection features extremely gritty and raw gospel tunes in many styles - girl group, R&B, blues, early R&R, a capella, country folk, soul - all from performers whom i've never heard of. not much else to say, i really love this album and the performances range from holy footstompers to emotional suckerpunches.
